Toshiba... the second one and still happy with the brand. I chose the first Toshiba because the specifics were ok, a friend of mine had already a Toshiba and was happy with it and the price was good, too.
Little did I know that I had one of those laptops, where Toshiba used brand-name speakers without specifically mentioning it. So I always wondered why other ones complained about the terrible on-board sound of their laptops... cause mine was quite good. But then my first laptop broke down and I had to find another one. So I checked for the sound on the laptops I considered and mostly I thought my ears will fall off
If you ever want to have "fun" in a computerstore: try (especially as a woman) telling the sales people that you want a laptop with good sound . From flat out refusing that something like that even exists (even though I told them that my old laptop has good sound - then they acted as if I´m totally loony) to telling me that something like that is not possible under 1.500€... I heard everything
Until one sales guy asked what those speakers on my old laptop look like... if they are plain or a bit raised. So if you want to check how much the sales guy in front of you knows about his genre: ask him about the sound
And back to my current laptop: a Toshiba with Harman/kardon-speakers... and it costed way less than 1000€
Don´´t even mention It, I bought a Dell laptop that costs 1500 euros abd my cat Ąthrew it to the floor, s the platic had a crack and I called del for a substitute to the plastic and the wante to charge me 500 euros more...... THEY AE CRAZY. now I have an ACER and I'm more tan happy with It, no Dell anymore for me or anyone that asks me or advice.
