unfortunately there r no pics or recipes to my failures,
like the spinach-superglue (a.k.a. spinach-sauce)
or the bread-brick

but i promise i will post pics when i start making Christmas cookies in a few weeks

Keep in mind I'm not a cake decorator, but I've made this cake several times. This recipe makes massive cakes so I always divide the recipe in half

This cake I made for my daughters birthday but had to decorate in the Zoo theme.
Cake lasts well in the freezer too!

Anyway... this is an Apple Walnut Caramel Cake i made a while ago



and it was soooooooooo delicious

i m still searching for an online-recipe, so that one might be added later



and i m not sure... but is forgetting to take a pic considered a failure as well?
i was on vacation a while ago and we ate cake every day there...
and vowed to always make a picture of the cakes
well
sumtimes we forgot it
and only remembered it once it was too late

but believe me: the cakes were soooooo good

aaaaaand here is the recipe for the Apple Walnut Caramel Cake

Dough:
300ml oil
300g sugar
3 eggs
280g flour
1tbsp baking soda
3/4 tbsp salt
100g oatmeal
1tbsp cinamon
3 apples, peeled, cored and roughly grated
100g walnuts, roughly chopped

Filling and Frosting:
500g cream cheese
125g soft butter
125ml cold caramel sauce

1. Heat the oven to 190°. Butter 2 round baking forms
2. Mix the oil and the sugar until they r light and fluffy. Add the eggs and stir 2 more minutes. Gently add flour, oatmeal, cinamon, baking soda and salt with a wooden spoon (dont stir long, just until it is barely a dough). Add apples and walnuts.
3. Divide the mixture between the forms and bake for 35-40 minutes.
4. While baking the cake, start making the filling: Mix the cream cheese with the butter until u have a smooth cream. Add the cold caramel sauce - done!

... u dont really need an explanation on how to put the filling into the cake, do u?

since nin9ty.nin9 not want to share, I had to bake myself. (actually, I had planned it anyway)

so here is the recipe with video instruction:

Recipe:
---------

Chocolate mousse:
- 4 egg yolk
- 4 egg white
- 4.8 oz soft butter (150 g)
- 4.8 oz powdered sugar (150 g)
- 4.8 oz bittersweet chocolate (150 g)

Decoration:
- grated chocolate
- powdered sugar

Baking dish:
- springform pan 10 inch (26 cm)
- lay in baking paper

Baking:
- preheat oven- temperature: (347 °F) 175°C
- baking time: 20 - 25 minutes






Result, very very yummy (without flour) but you can not eat much of it.
